Dr. Gregory Clariday

Dr. Gregory T. Clariday is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience specializing in eye diseases and ophthalmic plastic surgery. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency after a one-year internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. For more than two decades, Dr. Clariday has been serving the Clear Lake community, providing top-tier care in his field.

A dedicated member of several professional organizations, Dr. Clariday is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Texas Ophthalmological Association, the Harris County Medical Society, and the Harris County Ophthalmological Society.

Dr. Clariday is renowned for his expertise in cataract surgery and utilizes the latest advancements, including the innovative ReSTOR lens. He was also one of the first in the Houston area to offer CO-2 laser treatments for skin resurfacing, having performed thousands of successful ophthalmic plastic surgery procedures. Additionally, he specializes in Laser Blepharoplasty—an advanced eyelid procedure designed to correct sagging eyelids, remove under-eye fat pads, and address excess skin. This procedure can be paired with Laser Skin Resurfacing to restore a youthful appearance by targeting fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and other skin imperfections.

Dr. Clariday’s med spa, Clariday Aesthetics, also offers an array of non-surgical treatments, including IPL Laser, Laser Hair Removal, Botox, facials, and collagen replacement therapies.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Clariday and his wife, Barbara, are deeply involved in their Houston community. They have three daughters, three granddaughters, and five grandsons. He enjoys spending time with his family, especially riding dirt bikes with his grandsons and visiting Gunnison, CO.

Dr. Clariday has a deep commitment to giving back through medical missions. He currently serves as the Head of Ophthalmology for The Crystal Foundation, traveling semi-annually to Guerrero, Mexico, to offer eye care to the underserved communities of the Copper Canyon region.
